A Columbia, Missouri father receives a call from his teenage daughter’s high school stating she is being counted absent for the day because she missed all her classes. The Missouri father calls his 15-year-old several times, so after receiving no answer, he rushes home from work to check on her. The father is hopeful the teenager just overslept, or simply missed the bus, however the teen isn’t there, and some of her belongings, including her phone, are missing too. The Columbia, Missouri teen girl is immediately reported missing. Police believe the girl intentionally prepared to leave home, but after searches turn up nothing, and her phone is not pinged or used since the day of her disappearance, investigators turn to interviewing her friends. Fellow students say the 15-year-old may have been talking to someone online. More than four months after disappearing from her Columbia, Missouri home, the teen is found cowering naked in a closet in a home in Fort Collins, Colorado and being forced to work in a snow shoveling business.
